Fit good
I don’t know why other people are saying the o ring wasn’t good. It fit my 2009 Mini Cooper s with no problem. Yes, The metal retainer clip was not the right size. Yes, you have to use some force to stick it in the water pump, duh it’s a new o ring! All you have to do is get grease that’s compatible with coolant and you’re good to go. I had to use my old retainer clip but other than that, it was good! I wouldn’t mind buying this again.

Better Than Dealer
Bought one from the dealer for twice the price did not fit well at and leaked. Replaced with cheaper one from Amazon went right in no leaks. Better than Dealer ship.

The o-rings and clip are not the correct size
At the onset, it was obvious the clip (the U-shaped retaining clip) was not the correct size. I had a hell of a time installing this pipe with the included o-rings. The pipe would not seat into the water pump, no matter what leverage I was able to obtain. I used plenty of vaseline too. I went to the Mini dealer to buy the o-rings and clip. The pipe went on easily.

Pipe has failed twice now in less than a year
The end of the pipe just deteriorates inside the water pump, happened the first time in about 6 months so got a replacement from the seller and again and in about 3 months the side completely blew out.

fitment.
it fits perfectly, no issues. I drive a lot and I've been driving my car for 1 month already and still working perfectly.

doesnt fit
Amazon should be ashamed for selling this, it wont fit and the work required to get this part in is far too involved to wind up trying to get it to fit. AVOID AT ALL COSTS.

Took replacing to included O-Ring to fit, but made it work.
The O-ring that goes behind the waterpump outlet, was too fat to install. No amount of lubrication was going to get it in there. I sourced a different brand O-ring and was able to use the part. Now maybe the molds are wearing out and the plastic part itself is slightly out of spec, or they started using a different spec O-Ring, I can't say for sure. I'd like to say this is rare, but aftermarket parts quality has been really hit or miss the last 5 years or so. I'm a fairly experienced mechanic, and I wasted a couple of hours throwing every trick in the book at it, it was never going in. If yours won't go in behind the waterpump, it may be as simple a sourcing a new O-Ring, just get one that coolant and heat cycling won't break down.Good luck everyone, it's not the most fun job out there. 👍
