Very good map
Used it to successfully navigate all over the Yucatan Peninsula twice without the benefit of GPS. Your US cell phone will not work in Mexico without getting an International SIM card or buying a burner phone there.

I'm very pleased with how this map looks
I'm very pleased with how this map looks. Poly coating for durability, but it's also a very attractive map. My only complaint was that I couldn't see what the map looked like before I purchased it. I felt like it was a gamble a bit, so I'm primarily leaving a review so that people can see what the map looks like. Not tremendous photos but hopefully good enough to give an idea. The map shows the entire Yucatan and Quintana Roo states. 95% of Campeche is shown (Western boundary of map is just west of Ciudad de Carmen). It shows Belize in its entirety and the northern part of Guatemala. The last photo is from Google maps, but shows the approximate boundary of the map.I haven't field tested this map, but from first glance and for trip planning- so far I'm pleased and would recommend it.

Clear and Readable
Very clear and readable map. Not cluttered. However the disadvantage of that is lack of detail. Cancun and Merida inset maps only cover a small fraction of each city (and not in much detail). This may very well be "waterproof" but it is not laminated, it's just extremely nice paper (which is probably more water "resistant" than waterproof - but I'm not about to test it). This seems like a great, clear map for major road navigation (but forget any detail for cities, towns, villages). My primary interest was in having archeological ruins sites labeled and this map seems to be excellent for that.

Sturdy, easy to read
I love this map. It was exactly what I was looking for. My husband likes that the back has a map of Guatemala and Belize.

Great Map
A friend had an older version of this map and I wanted one for myself. Great map if your are traveling in the Yucatan, looking for Mayan site. Shows a lot of the less traveled roads. Arrived from Germany in less than 2 weeks

Yucatan 1:500,000 Regional Travel Map
Yucatan 1:500,000 Regional Travel Map:The map is printed on a "paper" that ie easy to hold and is strong enough to not tear when exerting pressure when folding the map back and folding it other than the permanant markings. The print is clear and small villages and coastal towns are easily read.

Great size and material
Just returned from 16 days driving around the Yucatan and Quintana Roo areas of Mexico and this map was nice to have. My GPS worked the entire time, but this was handy to keep with me to just look and see where I wanted to go next without always having to hop on my phone or laptop.

Not enough details and poor placement of sites
I bought this map to help with navigating around Cancun, the Riviera Maya, and Chichen Itza by car. It turns out that the free tourist maps of these areas not only show a lot more details, but they also more accurately show the placement of sites of interest to tourists like me. This map makes it appear as though there is no civilization on the routes between cities when, in fact, there are several communities, ruins, cenotes, side roads, beaches, and other interesting features that can be explored. The map would benefit greatly from smaller scale maps to help you get around the larger cities as well. Even the sites they do show are not placed too precisely. For example, on the map it appears as though there are ruins spread over several kilometers around the town of Coba when, in fact, all of the ruins are part of the same complex, within walking distance of each other. Maybe this map will serve you well for planning general routes, but don't expect it to help you navigate between anything but the largest cities.
